  The orchard is beautiful, a great place to visit and serve. There are service opportunities year round but the busiest time is pear harvest which usually starts at the beginning of August. For the first couple of weeks in August 100's of volunteers come to help harvest the pears which are used for people in need all over the world. It's fun to pick pears and visit with friends and strangers at the same time. It can be hot in the afternoons so picking is best in the early morning and evening. There are tractors and equipment being used regularly so it's best to keep kids under 12 at home. If you want more info you can call and talk to John or Kelly and they can help you. I always look forward to visiting, come visit and you will too!
